Redmi accessories are mostly price-oriented and so Redmi Earbuds S is price-oriented TWS. Redmi Earbuds S costs only about INR 1799 and available for sale on both Amazon and Flipkart. The earbuds weigh only around 8 grams and absolutely light-weighted. The silicone air tips fit quite well in the ears with a little curved design. Recently, Realme Buds Air 2 has also been launched.

There is no charging cable is provided and it charges via Micro USB cable. Redmi Earbuds S provides a battery backup of 3.5 to 4 hours on a single charge and takes around 30-45 minutes to completely charge the earbuds. There is an indicator present that notifies whether the earbuds are charged or not.

The tactile button present on the earbuds can be used for multipurpose.

1. Either to play and pause the music or to connect and disconnect the calls, we have to just press it one time
2. To connect Redmi Earbuds S to the voice assistant, we have to press it two times.
3. To turn on the low latency gaming mode, the button is needed to be pressed three times.

The Redmi Earbuds S comes with Bluetooth V5.0 to increase the supported range with more enhanced sound quality. It is quite easy to connect the earbuds via Bluetooth, we have to just press the tactile button for 3-4 seconds and it will start showing in the smartphones.

The low latency gaming mode further increases the transmission speed between the smartphone and Earbuds hence decreases the delay in sound while gaming. We have tested it while gaming and found little enhancement in performance with a low latency rate.

Redmi Earbuds S comes with IPX4 rated water protection technology that protects the earbuds from water-splash and sweat. A little drawback is seen in the Redmi Earbuds 8 as the music sound seems running at a very low pitch sound. Except that, the sound quality of Redmi Earbuds S clean and clear as compared to other TWS in this price range.

 Redmi Earbuds S sound quality is not as impressive as high-end TWS earbuds but on the other hand, the improvements made to enhance its sound quality are quite appreciable. We also see noise cancellation support in these earbuds, functioning quite well and filters the external noise of lower frequencies upto some extent. We must not expect more than that from any of the budget segment TWS.
