The Tesla Cybertruck is an all-electric pickup truck that was unveiled by Tesla, Inc. in November 2019. It is expected to go into production in 2022. The Cybertruck is a radical departure from traditional pickup truck designs, with an angular, futuristic body made of ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel and armored glass.
The Cybertruck is available in three different configurations: a single motor rear-wheel drive version with an estimated range of 250 miles on a single charge, a dual motor all-wheel drive version with an estimated range of 300 miles, and a tri-motor all-wheel drive “Plaid” version with an estimated range of more than 500 miles. The Plaid version is also expected to have a top speed of over 130 miles per hour and to be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds.
Some of the features of the Cybertruck include an adjustable air suspension system, a large vault-like storage compartment in the bed of the truck, and Tesla’s Autopilot advanced safety and convenience features. The truck also has a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds.
The Cybertruck has generated significant interest and controversy due to its unconventional design, which has been both praised for its innovation and criticized for its polarizing appearance. Despite this, the Cybertruck has received a large number of pre-orders and is expected to be a significant competitor in the pickup truck market.
