Video & Audio Calling Feature is now live on WhatsApp Web- Here are the Inside Details

WhatsApp recently launched its Web Video & Audio Calling features. Users can make voice and video calls using their computers. To start a call, click on the camera icon and select ‘Video Call’ from the drop-down menu.

The video call screen will be centered on the top right corner of the screen. Once the call has started, users can adjust the camera settings. If they are on a phone, the user can also text them during the call.

While video calls are primarily done with the front-facing camera, users can easily switch to the rear-facing camera. The transition is seamless. To mute the microphone, users can press the microphone icon or volume buttons on their phones.

The microphone icon will also appear at the bottom of the screen. To mute the audio from the speakers, click the ‘Mute’ button. Once the call starts, the other party will see a pop-up window for them to confirm or decline.
