The Orioles have reached an agreement with outfielder and first baseman Franchy Cordero.
It's an one-year split contract which will cost Cordero $1.35MM at the top of the ladder and $450K.
The O's have announced it as minor league deals that means Cordero will need to be able to earn his place on his 40-man roster.
Cordero 28-year-old Cordero has spent a portion of the last 6 seasons playing in major leagues.
He has always enticed teams with his powerful tools, such as his speed and explosive exit velocity.
Through the 227 big league games so far in his career Cordero has scored 21 home runs.
He also strike out 34.8 percent in his plate games. His total batting line is .221/.290/.386 with an wRC+ of 83.
He was in 2022 when he played in his team, the Red Sox, being frequently assigned to minor leagues throughout the season.
