Indigo New CEO- Pieter Elbers
Chief of Air France-KLM's Dutch unit Pieter Elbers will be heading the low-cost carrier IndiGo.
His appointment as the Chief Executive Officer is expected to be effective from 1 October this year.

IndiGo, which has nearly 300 planes in its fleet, is also bracing for more competition with Akasa expected to be operational.
Elbers succeeds Ronojoy Dutta who has decided to retire on September 30, 2022, guiding IndiGo through the Covid period.

Dutta said, “I leave knowing that IndiGo is in the good custody of Mr. Elbers and that the future for IndiGo employees is secure.

Elbers received a bachelor's degree in Logistics Management and a master's degree in Business Economics.
The 52-year-old has served as the president and CEO of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines since 2014.
