Matthew Stafford's 2022 season seems likely to be coming to an conclusion.

The Rams announced on the weekend that they've put the quarterback on injured reserve.

Stafford is qualified to be reinstated to the field after being on IR on the 17th of September.

Rams would be tempted to use him given that they're likely to be out of playoff possibility.

Coach Sean McVay said on Friday that Stafford was cleared of the concussion protocol

However his status as a player out against the Seahawks would not change due to the neck injuries he sustained.

McVay added that at present, there is no concern about Stafford's neck injury could persist into something that could impact his health in 2023.

In the eight games of during the season Stafford finished 68 percent on his throws, accumulating 2,087 yards.
