Scottie Scheffler was named the 2022 PGA Tour Player of the Year by the Tour's members.

With an 89 percent majority of vote, Scheffler was selected for this award ahead of the two other nominees.

Scheffler became only the second player to be awarded Korn Ferry Player of the Year, PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, etc.

Texas head coach John Fields presented Scheffler the trophy in front of the current NCAA men's champion golf team.

"It's very special," Scheffler declared. "It was definitely a shock this morning. It's a huge deal to me.

Scheffler's four wins were in his participation in the WM Phoenix Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the World Golf.

He won all four of them during six starts and became the first golfer to win four times over the span of six starts.

Undoubtedly, one of the highest compliments a player can receive is endorsement from his peers.
