Vivo Extendable Display Phone got Patent- Here are Full Details!!!

While a foldable display phone may sound like a great idea, it’s not likely to happen in the near future. While a smartphone manufacturer can use a similar design to produce a foldable tablet, it is highly unlikely that this will ever become a reality.

Although Vivo hasn’t entered the foldable smartphone market, it’s filed a patent for an innovative device that would let users extend the main screen with the press of a button.

A patent for a telescopic mechanism is a key component of Vivo’s plan to develop foldable smartphones. The Vivo method involves two different types of mechanisms: external and internal ones.

While this seems like a good idea, the details aren’t clear. The patent drawings show a display that extends from the right side, while the other two have screens that are angled upwards.

Nonetheless, while a foldable phone is a cool concept, there is no evidence to suggest that it will actually be sold in the consumer marketplace.

Vivo Extendable Display Phone- Patent Details

The patent application was filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation in May 2021, and the resulting patent was published on December 2nd.

It shows a foldable display with a right-hand extension. The design allows users to access more content while making the phone easier to carry.

While OPPO and other companies have demonstrated the concept, it is unlikely that a commercially available extendable phone will be available in the near future.

Despite the patent being granted in December, the Vivo extendable display phone will be years away from commercial release.

The company plans to release a demo model for its phones in May 2021, and the patent could be worth billions of dollars.

While this type of smartphone isn’t expected to make it to the market until 2022, it’s not impossible to imagine a market for it if it does appear.

The patent shows a smartphone that can extend from its right edge. This device can also be extended manually, but it’s important to note that it isn’t currently commercially available.

In addition, it is not known when it will be available. But it’s still an exciting concept to follow and may soon be the next big thing in mobile technology.

Essentially, the patent shows a phone with an extendable display. It’s similar to a reverse Motorola StarTAC, with an outward hinge at the bottom and a display that stretches outwards.

Vivo Extendable Display Phone- Features Tipped

In the patent, sketches of the phone’s design show that it has a square island with five cameras arranged in an X formation. It also shows an LED flash on the right side.

The patent shows a device with a foldable display that expands on the right side. The patent’s drawings do not detail the exact design, but it does show that the phone folds in half.

The patent reveals that the device’s screen is telescopic, and it can fold from the bottom to the back. The back part of the phone is covered in a screen, but the other half is still covered by a secondary screen.

It is unclear how the Vivo foldable display works. The patent shows that the screen is a single unit that can fold in half. When not in use, it can expand as far as a full column.

When the display is fully unfolded, the smartphone folds into a smaller form. The smartphone can dock when it’s not in use. It can also be a tablet-like device.

The patent for the Vivo extendable display phone demonstrates that the screen is telescopic. The smartphone folds in half in a telescopic motion, and then reverts to its flat position.

It’s unclear exactly how the device will work, but it will be a good alternative to a foldable tablet. Ultimately, the patent for the device is a win-win situation for both the company and consumers.
